Peter Q. Smith

Peter Q. Smith, Chair – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod

Peter has been employed at the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod since 2003 in the Commercial Lending Department and is a familiar face in the community. Peter is a board member of the Holy Cross Alumni Association of Cape Cod; a board member of the Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation; and volunteered for many years on Coastal’s Loan Committee, including as chair. Peter is a resident of Yarmouth Port where he lives with his wife, Judy Price Smith and their two sons. 

Mark Sexton

Mark Sexton, Secretary – Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank

Mark is a V.P. Lending Officer at Cape Cod Five. Prior to joining Cape Cod Five, he served as First Vice President of Commercial Lending for Rockland Trust and as Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer at the former Bank of Cape Cod. He has been in the banking industry for nearly 40 years, also having worked for such financial institutions as Eastern Bank and the former BankBoston. Mark serves as treasurer of the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum and on the board of the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District. He was honored with a Community Banker Hero Award from Banker and Tradesman in 2016. Mark spent many years volunteering as a member of Coastal’s Loan Committee.

Martin Harper

Martin Harper, Treasurer – The Duhamel Group

Since 2006, Marty has been the CFO for The Duhamel Group, LLC (TDG) and an equity partner in AdminEscape, LLC. For TDG, Marty is responsible for all financial aspects of four non-profit golf associations, as well as the daily financial operations of TDG and AdminEscape. Marty graduated from Arizona State University, where he studied architecture and received a bachelor’s degree in design. He also attended UMass-Amherst, where he received a Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning. Prior to working at TDG, Marty was a loan specialist at Coastal Community Capital, and Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Nash and Company in Osterville. Marty currently lives in Falmouth with his wife, Heather Harper, and their two sons. Marty volunteered as a member of Coastal’s Loan Committee.

Chris Murphy

Chris Murphy, Assistant Treasurer – DePaola, Begg & Associates, PC

Chris is a partner at DePaola, Begg & Associates, PC. A native of Cape Cod, he understands the necessity of small business growth and the fostering of entrepreneurship. Chris is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the board of the Kelley Foundation and Cape Cod Charitable Fundraisers, Inc., is a corporator of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, and serves as an advisor to the Barnstable Education Foundation. Chris volunteered as a member of Coastal’s Loan Committee for many years.

Michael Giancola

Michael Giancola, Vice Chair – Southeast Commercial Real Estate

Michael is founder and president of Southeast Commercial Real Estate. Since relocating to Cape Cod from Burlington, Vermont in 1993, Michael has served the community not only through the creation of a company focusing solely on commercial real estate, but through his volunteer service in local organizations. In 1999, he was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and in 2001, he achieved the SIOR Industrial Specialist designation awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

David Augustinho

David Augustinho – Cape and Islands Workforce Board

David has served as the executive director of Cape & Islands Workforce Board since 2000. He was previously employed by the Fall River Office of Economic Development, the Bristol County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and his Masters of Public Administration from Framingham State University. David is certified as both a Workforce Development Professional and a Master Consultant in Business Retention, and is a licensed realtor. His volunteer involvement has included serving on the boards of such organizations as the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Housing Assistance Corporation of Cape Cod and Independence House, and he is past president of the Hyannis Rotary Club.

Alex Rodolakis

Alex Rodolakis – Fletcher Tilton PC

Alex is the attorney in charge of Fletcher Tilton’s Cape Cod office and he devotes his practice to corporate and commercial matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was partner with a Boston law firm and ran its Cape Cod office. Alex’s areas of practice include commercial law, bankruptcy, workouts and financial restructuring, commercial collection, commercial lending, corporate law and business litigation. He is currently on the advisory board for St. John Paul II High School and St. Francis Xavier Prep School, and has been a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the town of Barnstable since 2008.

Kelly Sullivan – Bryden & Sullivan Insurance

A graduate of Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School, Kelley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from the University of Rhode Island. Upon graduation, she returned to the Cape to work for her family’s business, Bryden & Sullivan Insurance, founded by her father in 1965. In 1996, Kelley, a Certified Insurance Counselor, purchased the agency, which specializes in property and casualty insurance and has offices in Hyannis and Dennis. She was a former owner of Cape Cod Travel Agency. Kelley is a past director on many local boards, including the Hyannis Rotary Club, Cape Cod Insurance Women, Cape Cod Insurance Agents, the YMCA, the Dennis and Cape Cod Chambers of Commerce, Yarmouth Dennis Youth Soccer and Yarmouth Dennis Youth Hockey. Kelley resides in Dennis with her husband, Edward Canning, children and two dogs.

Marilyn Agulnick

Marilyn Agulnick-House – Blue Hills Bank

Marilyn is Senior Vice President at Blue Hills Bank. Prior to that, she served for 15 years as Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank. Marilyn has over 35 years in the banking industry, serving primarily small business and middle market companies. Marilyn spent many years volunteering as a member of Coastal’s Loan Committee.

Christopher Richards

Christopher Richards – Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank

Chris has been with Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank since 2010 and is the bank’s S.V.P. Chief Banking Services Officer. With over 25 years in the banking industry, his professional career has also included serving as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending at The Community Bank. Chris has a graduate degree in banking from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State College. His community work includes serving as chairman of Cape & Islands Workforce Investment Board, vice chair of Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of Heritage Museums & Gardens.

Jim McEvoy – Retired Banker

Jim worked in the banking industry for over 40 years, having worked as SVP at Cape Cod Bank & Trust and as Regional VP at TD Bank in their commercial lending divisions. Jim has served as the treasurer of the Cape Cod Community College Education Foundation, and was the 2010 Community Honoree for the American Cancer Society for his tireless support and fundraising.

John Hurley – Rockland Trust

John serves as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer at Rockland Trust. In his role, he is responsible for floorplan business development for franchised and independent auto dealers. John has 32 years of experience in the banking industry. His vast background includes Business Development Manager at Chrysler Capital, building floor plan relationships for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Dealerships in New England, New York and northern New Jersey. Prior to his role at Rockland Trust, John was Vice President of Santander’s Chrysler Capital Group. John has been an active member of Coastal’s Loan Committee for five years. A graduate of Saint Anselm College, John resides in Sandwich with his wife Jennifer and five children.

Karen Gallagher

Karen Gallagher – Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod

Karen is Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer at the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. A resident of Yarmouth Port, Karen has 14 years of experience in business banking and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Syracuse University. Karen is an active member of her community and serves as treasurer of the Cape Cod Technology Council, former President of Cape Cod Women’s Association, and former Board Member of Cape & Islands Work Force Investment Board Youth Council.

Marlene Micciche

Marlene Micciche – Citizens Bank

Marlene is vice president/commercial underwriter in business credit services for the northeast region at Citizens Bank. She has over 30 years of experience in banking, with over 25 years spent in the commercial lending arena. Prior to joining Citizens Bank, she was a portfolio manager with Rockland Trust in Hyannis, a commercial loan review examiner with Cobblestone Management and a commercial lender with Fleet National Bank and Citizens Bank. Marlene is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. She was a previous participant in the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod, a former member of the Founders Committee and Executive Committee of Pope John Paul II High School in Hyannis, and has served as a board member and past president of the Holy Cross Club of Cape Cod.

Nick Kleimola – Graduate Student

Nick is currently enrolled in graduate school. He has over 15 years in the financial services field, including Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and TD Bank, among others. He has served as a board member for Wings for Falmouth Families, a community-based charity providing local families financial assistance when they are experiencing a medical crisis or tragic event.

Thomas Burton – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod

Thomas is FVP, RM at The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. He has over 25 years in the banking industry, having previously worked for such financial institutions as Rockland Trust, Commerce National Bank & Trust in Worcester, Citizens Bank-Boston and Key Bank in Burlington, VT. Thomas has a Bachelor of Business Administration–Finance from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from Plymouth State University. He is active in many local Chambers, on the United Way of Cape Cod and the Islands Community Impact Committee, the Treasurer & Board of Director for his local church.
